I have chosen my final reflective Prezi from Practicum II to exemplify my competence of this descriptor. As evidenced in the Prezi, I used what I knew about each of my students as individual learners to select carious practices and materials to support their learning. For Madison, I invited her input in choosing methods and materials to make the activities engaging for her. This included use of the ipad for research, documenting, and her final project and vocabulary building activities. Also, because I knew Madison's hesitation for writing, I chose a barrage of graphic organizers, short paragraph activities, and even dice games for differentiation in writing activities to foster writing experiences. To build her writing confidence, I frequently used a "mentor piece" she could use as a reference. For Baron, I chose several reading and writing activities to boost his metalinguistic awareness--blending phonemes, rereading familiar text, building strategy lessons into the context of authentic reading and writing.
